Tales of Vesperia is an amazing game with amazing story and characters. Each character has their own arc from start to finish, each character has a very different personality than the others, and each character has their own fighting style! This game is very well balanced, so don't take this rating too seriously... any character can work under the right circumstances! Now, without further ado, the Ranked RPG presents... Tales of Vesperia: All Ranked Characters!
Level C
9. Estellise Sidos Heurassein
Estelle isn't THAT bad. She's her main healer, she's a good fighter and defense tank, and she can even make your party invincible! When controlled, Estelle is an A-tier pick. But due to the very balanced nature of the characters when controlled, I'm also looking at AI as a factor in each character's rating. And when Estelle is AI controlled? she is definitelynoan A-tier pick. Heck, Estelle almost hurts her party at times with her AI and ruins her team lineup! With amazing healing abilities like Love Shot, Nice Curing Smash, and Repede's Item, Estelle isn't always the best healer! The problem with Estelle's healing spells is that they all have extremely long cast times, whereas the aforementioned abilities are instant cast abilities. Essentially, her healing isn't even the best because it can be canceled in the blink of an eye. Unless the enemies or the boss you're fighting are slow as sin, the boss will repeatedly cancel your heal and render Estelle useless. In general, since items and instant heals are the most effective way to heal inTales of Vesperia,since Estelle is very mediocre in terms of DPS, and since her AI is rubbish, Estelle is best used as a healer outside of battle and nothing else.
8. Judith
Don't take this the wrong way, I love Judith... she's my second favorite character to play in the game! But like Estelle, her AI sucks. And like Estelle, people can do Judith's job better. The problem with Judith is that she is the hardest character to use in the game, and since it takes a lot of time and effort to master her arts and combos, it's usually better to use a simpler character like Yuri or Flynn, who are easier and more strong. Essentially, Judith sucks in terms of AI and she sucks unless you really understand her character... And all for what? A weaker character than Yuri? Well, here's the argument people have for Judith: she's the master of air damage. But with spells like Tractor Beam, Tempest and Gamble Cast, characters like Rita, Raven and Patty can also kill enemies in the air! And when Judith fights punished enemies? Her best combo is blasting targets in the air, locking them in a combo, and damaging them in the air. However, this prevents allies from dealing damage to said enemies! So overall, if you're as good as Judith, trade her in for aerial boss fights. But otherwise? It might be better to choose another character. Unless you are in the arena. Judith is amazing in the arena...

7. Karol Capela See More
Karol has amazing fast heals. Karol is a great tank. Karol is the master of status ailments. So what stops him from being a stellar character? It's slower than a sloth moving its ass. He's easily the worst character to control. Of course, with his arts charged, he can deal heavy damage and debuff enemies. Of course, with her charged heals, she can heal her allies for tons of health. Of course, he himself is very healthy. But overall, even with all these features, this lack of mobility makes him juggle with not being able to match other party members in the game.
6. Flynn Scifo
Flynn is like Estelle and Yuri combined... but unlike Estelle, her AI is pretty good! Flynn is a very solid attacker and also has several single target heals as well as several light type attacks. Flynn is also more of a tank than characters like Yuri! Now here's the problem with Flynn. Heal him? Great, but not as good as Estelle, Karol, Raven or Patty. Your physical attacks? Great, but not as good as Yuri, Repede or Patty. Your magic attacks? Not as good as Estelle, Rita or Patty. Your tank capacity? In fact, I think he's better than Karol, and I also think he's the best tank in the game, so that's to Flynn's advantage! Overall, Flynn is a mighty jack of all trades, but he's no master of anything. Flynn can blend in well with any group, but he's not good enough to be the top pick for a team comp... not to mention his ultimate stat. To see Flynn's best results, be sure to pair him with Yuri... their mystical dual art is sickeningly powerful.

5. Cuervo
Raven is a ranged attacker, a wind mage, and in my opinion the best healer for most of the game. But Raven just doesn't flow like some of the following characters. Why? Because it depends on a few selected skills to be good. Her ranged attacks are slow and mediocre, and are much, much worse than Patty's. Her stats are the worst in the game. Her Burst Arts are completely ridiculous and impossible to target. But with Glimmer of Heaven, Tempest, Arrivederci, Stop Flow and best of all, Love Shot? Raven is a mid-level character with some amazing abilities. Since she has such domineering skills, she surpasses previous characters, but since she is limited in other ways, Raven cannot be superior to the A-level ending.
4. Quickly
At first, Repede appears to be a worse version of Yuri. But the further you get into the game, the more it grows into a top pick. He's the fastest attacker in the game, an evasion tank with a small hitbox, a thief, and a master of all things item related. This effectively makes him a character with great utility, DPS, and healing! Sure, it might not always be the best option (especially against airborne enemies), but there are very few times when Repede isn't a solid choice.

3. Patty Fleur
You know I said Flynn is a jack of all trades, master of none? Well, Patty is a jack of all trades, master of it all. She has the strongest ranged attacks in the game. She has very strong melee attacks. She has very strong healing and offensive magic. It has four very different modes that allow you to adapt to any situation. Due to her great versatility, she ranks very high on this list! Her randomness and much lower DPS compared to the next two characters hold her back, but overall Patty is an awesome character and my favorite character in the game. She's not the best, but my favorite.
2. Yuri Lowell
Yuri is the most consistent character inTales of Vesperia.He is also the easiest and strongest physical attacker inTales of Vesperia.With Yuri, you can create devastating physical combos like no other character, lock enemies in place for minutes, and wreak havoc with your powerful arts and skills. There really isn't much else to say about Yuri... he's simply the best physical striker in the game!
1. Rita Mordio See More
RITa is overpowered, even outside her upper limit, she does thousands and thousands of damage! Once in Over Limit, though? It literally breaks the game. With enough Limit Bottles, Rita can easily manage alone without help. You can literally juggle infinite enemies in the air with Tidal Wave with good use of Limit Bottles and taunts! Anyone who has played this game knows the sheer power of spells like Thunder Blade, Tidal Wave, Meteor Storm, high-level Fireball, Mystic Drive, and best of all, Tractor Beam. Needless to explain further: Rita is the best in the game and nothing compares.
